Textured additive for powder coatings

K207 is an amide modified vinylidene fluoride polymer which can be used as a special textured additive in powder coatings for applications to housing electric equipment such as VCD and audio/video, office appliance, playground equipment and other many industrial applications.

2.Characteristics

1. Be applicable to any powder coating systems such as pure epoxy, hybrid, polyester/TGIC or Primid and PU etc to provide a special texture finish with fine-grained surface.
2. Very attractive and consistent texture finish can be obtained when it is compared with other texture additives at the present time.
3. Flow modifier and Benzoin in powder formulation can be omitted or decreased greatly. Therefore, the cost of powder coating is down probably.
4. Even if its use levels are very low such as 0.08%, the very attractive texture effect can be obtained.

3.Use method & levels

1. Premix K207 together with the other components of formulation, and then melt blend and extrude the mixture by any suitable extruder.
2. The use levels are 0.08 ~0.15% based on the total weight of the formulation.

1. Packaging with PE lined fiber drums. Net weight 10kg or 20kg per drum.
2. Store in cool and dry place. Avoid contacting with strong acids, bases and other organic chemicals together. Keep away from fire.
3. Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 3 years.
