Charge enhancing agent for powder coatings

K2485 is a polar fatty acid derivative used as charge-enhancing agent to improve powder coating transfer-efficiency and minimize Faraday-Cage effects during application.

2.Characteristics

1. K2485 can be used in a broad range of powder coatings based on:Polyester/TGIC, Polyester/HAA, Hybrid, Epoxy, PU and Acrylate;
2. High charging performance;
3. Imoroved flow & appearance;
4. Less pinholes/craters;
5. Improved substrate wetting.

3.Use method & levels

1. Premix K2485 together with all of other components in a high-speed mixer, and afterwards extrude the mixture in a Kneader.
2. Approx. 0.2 to 0.5% by weight calculated on total formula.

4.Package & Storage

1. Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bag. Net weight 25kg per bag.
2. Store in temperature between 2 and 32℃ or cool dry place to avoid caking. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from fire.
3. Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 3 years.
