Charge enhancing agent for powder coatings

K2483 is a long-chain fatty acid ester used as charge-enhancing agent to improve powder coating transfer-efficiency and minimize Faraday-Cage effects during application.

2.Characteristics

  1. Can enhance the conductivity to improve powder coating transfer-efficiency, application performance and minimize Faraday-Cage effects during electrostatic powder spray.
  2. Differing from general amine based charge-enhancing agent, K2483 provides improved substrate wetting to result in better flow and appearance of powder coatings.
  3. Quite good thermo-stability and anti-yellowing.
  4. Have no catalytic activity, does not affect the gloss and gel time of coat.

3.Use method & levels

  1. Premix K2483 together with all of other components in a high-speed mixer, and afterwards extrude the mixture in a Kneader.
  2. Approx. 0.3 to 0.6% by weight calculated on total formulation.

4.Package & Storage

  1. Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bag. Net weight 25kg per bag.
  2. Store in temperature between 2 and 32℃ or cool dry place to avoid caking. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from fire.
  3. Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.
