Hardener for pure epoxy powder coatings

K284 is a substituted dicyandiamide that can be used as a hardener for epoxy powder coatings such as decorative, electric insulation and corrosive-resistance powder coatings.

2.Characteristics

1. Exhibit improved compatibility compared with dicyandiamide.
2. Can achieve fully cross-linkage at baking conditions of 160(℃)/20 min and 180(℃)/12 min when it is used as main hardener in epoxy based powder coatings.
3. Impart good flow and excellent mechanical properties.
4. Good fading-resistance.

3.Use method & levels

1. Premix K284 with other components of the formulation before extrusion.
2. The use level is 4 -5% by weight of epoxy resins [EEW 700~900].

4.Package & Storage
• Packaging with PE lined Kraft bag. Net weight 20 kg per bag.
• Store in temperature between 2 and 32℃ or cool dry place to avoid wetting-absorption and caking. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from fire.
• Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 3 years.
