Slip and Degassing agentfor powder coatings

K500 is a microwax based slip and degassing agent developed especially for powder coatings, which can be used as a slip promoter or a substitute of Benzoin in various coating system.

2.Characteristics

1. Aid to reduce coating melt-flow viscosity and improve wetting of resin binder to substrate and pigment dispersing properties. Therefore, the smooth surface and better appearance can be obtained.
2. Can be used as a substitute of Benzoin in powder coatings to impart better degassing and less yellowing effects. Especially, in combination with the cross-linking agent β-hydroxyalkylamide, i.e. Primid XL552 (EMS) provides this weather-resistant coating with more satisfied properties such as film thickness up to 100μm without air-bubble.
3. Due to its own lubricating character, improve the anti-caking and sieve-passing properties of coating powder and prevent blockage of spray gun simultaneously.
4. Exhibit good anti-mar property at proper added amounts.

3.Use method & levels

1. Premix K500 together with the other components of formulation before extrusion.
2. The usage level is 0.5-1.0% by total weight of formulation.

4.Package & Storage

1. Packaging with PE lined Kraft paper bags. Net weight 20kg per bag.
2. Store in cool and dry place. Keep package closed after using. Keep away from fire.
3. Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 3 years
